Accessibility statement

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA: semantic headings and landmarks, labels on every form control, keyboard operability, visible focus, colour contrast within AA ratios, honest error messages tied to the field they concern, and layouts that work at high zoom and on small screens.

The filing interview and core pages have been tested with keyboard navigation, VoiceOver on iOS, and automated checks at mobile and desktop sizes. An independent accessibility review by an external specialist is commissioned as part of our pre-launch assurance programme, and its findings will be actioned before general release.

Statutory document previews (the accounts and computations we file) reproduce fixed HMRC and Companies House presentation formats and can be harder to navigate with a screen reader — every figure in them is also available through the interview questions that produced it. If you find anything else, we want to know.

If any part of GoTaxes is hard to use with your technology, email support@gotaxes.co.uk and we will fix it or find you an accessible route to the same outcome. We will never ask you to send Government Gateway passwords, Companies House authentication codes or personal verification codes by email — those stay yours.
